Contact Energy says hydro storage in both the North and South Islands continues to suffer from drought conditions.
South Island storage stood at 75% by 11 April, down from 95% at the end of February.
North Island storage dropped to 43% from 73%.
Contact's customer numbers also continue to trend lower, standing at 441,500 at March 31. It lost 1500 customers in March and 2500 in the year ended March.
