The Government and SkyCity have delayed formalising a $400 million deal for an international convention centre in Auckland.
SkyCity had until Friday to formalise the deal, but says it needs more time.
Both parties have agreed on a two week extension.
It was announced in May that the casino would meet the full cost of building the centre in return for a number of benefits, including an extended gambling licence and 230 more poker machines.
Construction is due to start next year with the centre scheduled to be open by 2017.
