Auckland's largest real estate company says the market is experiencing a spring lift.
Barfoot & Thompson sold 830 properties in August - up 6.5% from July and 65% on August last year.
Managing director Peter Thompson says sale prices have climbed 1.5% since last August, to just over $530,000.
Mr Thompson does not think the market is taking off just yet, but says things look promising.
