The country's largest job website says almost 128,000 jobs were advertised on its site during the first half of the year, reflecting rising business confidence.
Seek says the volume of jobs advertised for the six months to June was consistent with the same period last year, and up 5% on 2011.
Auckland was the region with the most job openings, followed by Wellington and then Canterbury.
Seek says the job market is expected to surge during the second half of the year.
