A deal to waive rent for four years means a Harley Davidson company will keep manufacturing in South Australia.

The state government owns the foundry site at North Plympton in Adelaide.

The ABC reports New Castalloy, which is owned by Harley Davidson, makes speciality wheels, hubs and motorbike components.

Manufacturing minister Tom Kenyon said the deal to waive rent had averted a plan to close operations, keeping 110 employees in work.
