Genesis Energy has lifted annual net profit 21% as customer numbers continued to grow and helped by a higher contribution from its investment in the Kupe oil and gas field.
The electricity retailer and generator made a net profit of $104.5 million in the 12 months to the end of June, compared with $86 million in the previous year.
Chief executive Albert Brantley said the higher profit was delivered against variable market conditions and intense retail competition.
