Listed fast food chain Burger Fuel has reported a fall in half year profit, as it invested in the business to provide a solid platform for future growth.
The company's profit fell 68% to $96 million in the six months to the end of September compared with the same period a year earlier.
The company opened seven new stores over that time, and its sales rose 35.5% to a record $30 million while revenue increased 25.5% to $6.7 million.
Burger Fuel has 51 restaurants in New Zealand, Australia and the Middle East.
