Veritas Investments, the owner of the Mad Butcher, has bought half of a company that makes meat patties for fast food operators.
Veritas has bought a 50% shareholding in Kiwi Pacific Foods, which supplies meat patties to Burger King and others in the food industry.
The $3.5 million transaction, plus an earn-out, also gives Veritas the management rights.
Burger King's New Zealand owner, Antares Restaurant Group, owns the remaining half of Kiwi Pacific Foods.
