Saputo of Canada has extended the deadline for its takeover bid for Warrnambool Cheese & Butter in Victoria by almost two weeks.
The ABC reports the company has announced its offer will now close at 7pm on 22 January.
Saputo has declared that both the offer period and price are last and final.
Bega Cheese said it had not yet decided what it will do with its 18.8% stake in WCB.
