Sharemarket falls after record high

The sharemarket has fallen on Friday, with the NZX50 index shedding 35 points to close at 5124. That's after hitting a record high on Thursday.

Ryman Healthcare was one of the biggest losers, falling 2.3 percent to $8.51, Mainfreight is down 1.5 percent to $13.45 and Sky TV is down 2 percent to $6.35.

The New Zealand dollar is steady against the US dollar, buying 85.35 US cents, 94.20 Australian, 51.68 pence, 0.6191 euro and 5.31 renminbi.
