The NZX 50 index finished on Monday up 12 points to 3370 on turnover of $116 million.
Fletcher Building ended down 12 cents to $6.57, Sanford was up 24c to $5.98, Rakon was up 2c to $3.04 and Telecom was down 4c to $3.36.
The dollar is trading at 70 US cents, 79.01 Australian cents, 36.51 pence, 77.09 yen and 0.4676 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was 64.60.
The Australian share market closed moderately stronger on Monday, pushed up by an improvement in financial stocks and a positive lead from Wall Street, though weaker mining stocks limited overall gains.
The S&P/ASX200 index finished up 39.9 points to 5026.1, while the All Ordinaries index rose 31.7 points to 5069.3.
The September share price index futures contract rose 48 points to 5010 on a volume of 20,631 contracts.
