Auckland International Airport Ltd has reported a modest increase in profit due to more domestic travellers.
The airport made a full year underlying profit of $113 million in the year to June, an increase of 3% on the previous year.
Revenue rose 9% to $351 million, helped by the introduction of Pacific Blue, and double digit growth from its retail, carparking and rental income.
Chief executive Don Huse says the company expects to make a flat profit of between $100 - $110 million in the 2009 financial year.
He is due to leaves the company next week after five years in the role. Former Telecom executive Simon Moutter succeeds him.
