Most businesses connected to internet

Official figures showed most small to large businesses surveyed were connected to the internet.

Statistics New Zealand's 2014 business operations survey involved about 38,000 firms.

Statistics New Zealand said nearly 50 percent of businesses used the internet to sell goods and services, but these sales usually made up less than 10 percent of total sales.

And it said larger businesses were more likely to use fibre connections.

Tourism Holdings purchases part of British tourism business

Tourism Holdings has purchased 49 percent of the British-based Just Go motorhome rentals and sales business.

The majority stake in Just Go remains with the operators of the business, Nick and Sarah Roach.

No purchase price has been disclosed, and Tourism Holdings says it's not material, in relation to its balance sheet.

The business operates 130 motorhomes at peak season.

A change in Air NZ airpoint's partner

There's been a change in Air New Zealand's airpoints partner.

The national carrier and BNZ will end their two-decade association from the end of April.

Westpac is the new official partner.
