New MD for Nufarm

Nufarm has named its chief operating officer and acting chief executive, Greg Hunt, as the company's new managing director and chief executive.

Mr Hunt has been with the agricultural chemicals company since 2012 and has been leading the company since the former managing director, Doug Rathbone, left in February, after 15 years of service.

Fresh vistas for Movio Cinema

Vista Group International says its Movio Cinema company has signed a multi-year agreement with the second largest cinema chain in the United States.

AMC Theatres will use the Movio Cinema software-as-a-service product in 347 locations and almost 5000 screens in the United States.

The deal will increase Movio's market share to over 51 percent in North America.

Tru-Design gets US nod

Auckland marine manufacturer Tru-Design Plastics is poised to enter the US market after gaining American Boat and Yacht Council H27 compliance for its range of through-hull valve fittings.

Tru-Design specialises in manufacturing difficult-to-mould engineering polymers and developing marine componentry.

Complectus buys Covenant Trustee Services

Complectus, owner of Perpetual Guardian, has finalised the purchase of Covenant Trustee Services, which provides corporate trustee and statutory supervisor services to New Zealand businesses, charities and retirement villages.

Long-time managing director of Covenant, Graham Miller, retains his role.
