A round-up from Radio NZ's business desk - Diligent purchases BoardLink, GeoOp revenue up 78 percent and BurgerFuel opens another restaurant in Dubai.

Diligent buys BoardLink

Corporate software developer, Diligent, has bought BoardLink from financial services firm, Thomson Reuters, for $US10 million, to widen its portfolio of products aimed at company directors.

Diligent sells software that helps company boards organise their documents and affairs, and it says the latest acquisition will add to earnings in the 2016 full year.

GeoOp third quarter revenue up 78 percent

The business software company, GeoOp, says its third quarter annualised recurring revenue is up 78 percent, driven by strong growth in the number of licenced users.

The company says the number of licenced users has grown to almost 21,000 in the three months ended in September, with three quarters of them located outside of New Zealand - more than half in Australia - while revenue per user is up 14 percent in the past 12 months.

BurgerFuel opens Dubai restaurant

BurgerFuel has opened another restaurant in Dubai - this time on The Palm, the world's largest artificial island.

This is its 15th restaurant opening this week, as the gourmet burger franchise company continues to focus on rapid expansion.
