The ANZ Business Outlook for April shows 38-percent of businesses expect better times ahead, although some are finding it harder to borrow money.

ANZ economist Phil Borkin, says 30-percent of businesses think it will become more difficult to get credit.

"Firms are noting - it's not a new thing, and it's been the case on for a few months now - that getting access to credit is more of a challenge

"And we think that's something that we think is going to become more and more of a topic over the next little while given some funding pressures in the banking system.

"So that can potentially become a headwind to growth, but again, firms are not saying that it's biting at this stage it's just something that they're noting."
