Restaurant Brands has seen stronger sales in the fourth quarter, again due to growth from its KFC stores.

The fast food chain, which operates Starbucks, Pizza Hutt and KFC, says total sales rose 1.5% to $77.2 million in the three months to March compared to the same period last year.

Sales at KFC rose more than 4%, but sales at Pizza Hutt stores fell by almost 5%, largely as a result of store closures.

The company expects an annual trading profit of about $11 million.
