Oil refinery production fell

9:08 am on 9 April 2009

The operator of the country's sole oil refinery says production fell for a time due to a planned shutdown in February.

The New Zealand Refinery produced 5.9 million barrels in the first two months of the year, at an average gross refinery margin of $US9.42 per barrel.

The processing fee it charged customers totaled $68.9 million for the period.

The refinery says it is now back in full production.
