Goodman Fielder to focus on core consumer brands

Goodman Fielder is considering selling its commercial edible fats and oils business, as it decides to focus on its core consumer brands.

The Australasian food group says it's determined the business, which supplies food manufacturers and wholesalers in New Zealand and Australia, does not fit with its major strategic focus.

Goodman says it guage the degree of interest from potential buyers and look to sell it, and will instead focus on its manufacturing and retail operations.
