Sanford profit falls by 26%

Fishing company Sanford says its first half profit fell 26% to $26 million.

The company says last year's profit was boosted by one-off gains from an asset sale.

It says underlying earnings rose 23% on better returns from its deep-water fishing operations and a fall in the New Zealand dollar.
