NZ market ends week higher

The New Zealand share market was 33 points, or 1.07%, higher to 3109 at the close on Friday on turnover of $49 million.

Shares in top stocks were mixed. Telecom was up 8 cents a share to $2.79, Fletcher Building rose 16c to $8, but Contact Energy fell 5c to $6.33.

Auckland International Airport was up 1c to $1.76 after announcing its profit fell 63% to $41.7 million in the year to June.

Wine company Delegats Group was 18c higher to $2.35 after its full-year profit increased by more than half to $30 million.

Air New Zealand was up 1c to $1.24 after Thursday's announcement that the company's full-year profit fell 90% to $21 million.

Nuplex rose 13c to $2.48 following its announcement this week that its full-year profit slumped 65% to $16.7 million.
