Two new Mini models to be produced in UK

The British government says plans by German carmaker BMW to build two new Mini models at a plant in central England are good news for the UK car industry.

The move is seen as a boost for British manufacturing and the motor sector.

Business Minister, Lord Peter Mandelson, says British drivers have had a long love affair with the Mini and it was sure to continue for years to come.
