The NZX 50 index closed up 19 points on Monday - a lift of 0.6% to finish at 3131.
Telecom was down 3c at $2.65, Fletcher Building up 4c at $8.29 and Contact Energy up 2c to $5.73.
Fisher and Paykel Applicances finished 2c up at 67c. Tower dropped a cent to $1.69 after raising $120 million, 47% more than it was seeking
The Warehouse rose 12c to $4.12.
In currency markets the dollar was trading at 71.31 US cents, 82.9 Australian, 45.13 pence, 63.72 Yen, and .4889 euro. The TWI stood at 65.18.
Across the Tasman, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed down 35.9 points, or 0.76%, at 4677.4 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index lost 37.9 points, or 0.8%, to finish at 4676.9.
