The New Zealand share market closed up 22 points, or 0.7%, to 3183 on Thursday.
Telecom was up 4 cents at $2.70 per share, Fletcher Building gained 17c at $8.52 and Contact Energy rose 4c to $5.80.
Fisher and Paykel Appliances was down 1c at 68c, while Air New Zealand rose 2c to $1.23.
Sky Television gained 4c to $4.78 and Sky City Entertainment was up 7c to $3.32.
