A recruitment firm says company hiring intentions are improving slowly.
The latest quarterly report by Hays Recruitment shows a particular need for people to fill office support, call centre, and accountancy roles, as well as jobs in the construction and property sectors.
Managing director Jason Walker says companies are preparing for an upturn in business activity and there's been an increase in permanent vacancies registered in last few months.
He says the pool of candidates for positions has also started to deplete.
