Return of almost 21% posted by asset management fund

Brook Asset Management's Tasman Fund has posted a return of almost 21% in the last year.

This outstrips the 2.3% return provided by the top 50 companies listed on the New Zealand share market, and the 0.3% return from Australia's top 200.

The fund has $61 million under management and managing director Mark Brighouse says its success is largely due to Australia's recovery.

He expects the economic recovery to be volatile, but says that should not put investors off, as opportunities still exist in bad times.
