The New Zealand share market rose 17 points, or 0.53%, to 3186 on Wednesday on turnover of $87 million.
Fletcher Building fell 8 cents to $7.92 per share, Telecom rose 5c to $2.62 and Contact Energy was up 1c to $6.06.
Sky City Entertainment Group gained 6c to $3.27, while Auckland International Airport was up 4c to $2.03.
New Zealand Oil and Gas rose 4c to $1.73 and Pike River Coal was up 1c to $1.11.
Retailers The Warehouse fell 9c to $4.36, while Hallenstein Glassons gained 12c to $2.95.
