Shares have fallen in the United States as investor sentiment was hit by official data showing producer prices rising more than expected - which has led to increasing fears of inflationary pressure.
The Dow Jones Index was down 38 points to 10,436. The Nasdaq Composite was down 2 points to 2210.
Earlier in Europe: the FTSE in London was down 12 points to 5303, the CAC-40 in Paris was up 11 points to 3840 and the DAX in Frankfurt was up 12 points to 5814.
