The number of job vacancies has risen slightly in Australia.
The ABC reports the latest figures on jobs advertised on the internet increased by almost 0.5% in December.
Bob Olivier of the Olivier Job Index says that's about a third down on this time last year, but the market has been improving throughout 2009.
