The New Zealand share market was up 20 points, or 0.64%, to 3209 at the close of trade on Tuesday. Turnover was $33 million.
Fletcher Building gained 16 cents to $8.18 per share, Telecom rose 4c to $2.44, but Contact Energy fell 7c to $5.98.
Fisher & Paykel Appliances was up 1c to 61c, while Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was 3c higher at $3.34.
Sky City Entertainment was up 1c to $3.37. Sky TV lost 2c to $4.98.
Air New Zealand was down 1c to $1.19 after unveiling a cabin prototype for its new Boeing 777-200s.
The Australian market was closed for a public holiday.
