Abano Healthcare has posted a record profit of $80 million for the six months to November.
The result includes $76.6 million from the sale of its New Zealand audiology business, Bay Audiology, to the National Hearing Centre.
If the sale proceeds are excluded, the company made $3.4 million, down from the $4.1 million in made in the same period a year earlier.
Revenue climbed just over $16 million, to $102.3 million.
Chair Alison Paterson says the company has ample funds to continue investment into its growth businesses - which are audiology in Australia and Asia, radiology in New Zealand, and dental clinics here and across the Tasman.
