NZ sharemarket closes 11 points down

The NZX 50 index closed 11 points down on Monday, or 0.3%, at 3093, while the Australian sharemarket closed marginally higher.

Fletcher Building gained 3c to $7.55 and Contact Energy 5c to $5.8m while Telecom was unchanged at $2.31.

Auckland International Airport was down 1c to $1.94, Sky City Entertainment was unchanged at $3.22 and Sky Television Network rose 5c to $4.82.

Both Air New Zealand and Pyne Gould Corporation were down 1c to $1.29 and 44c respectively.

The Warehouse was up 2c to $3.72 and Hallenstein Glasson up 9c to $3.46.

In currency markets, the NZ dollar was trading at 68.78 US cents, 79.41 Australian, 43.05 British pence, 61.39 Yen and .524 euro, while the TWI stood at 63 even.

The Australian benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 7.3 points, or 0.16%, at 4521.4, while the broader All Ordinaries index firmed 6.3 points, or 0.14%, to 4538.8.
