Vodafone gained 9000 new customers in the December quarter, after losing 27,000 customers the previous quarter.
In an update from its parent company in Britain, Vodafone says it now has 2.49 million customers in New Zealand.
This compares to Telecom's 2.25 million. New entrant 2degrees will reveal how many customers it has on Friday.
