Toyota cutting production in US

Toyota is cutting production in the United States to avoid overstocking.

A plant in San Antonio, Texas, will close for a week in March and a week in April.

Another plant in Kentucky will be idle for at least a day later this month.

Reports say the company is concerned about falling sales, due to a massive round of product recalls.

Meanwhile, US regulators are to investigate whether the recalls were conducted in a timely manner.
