The New Zealand share market was up 23 points, or 0.7%, to 3111 at the close of trade on Wednesday.
Fletcher Building rose 27 cents to $7.52 per share, after announcing a half-year profit of $154 million. Telecom fell 1c to $2.32, while Contact Energy gained 5c to $5.66.
Sky City Entertainment was unchanged at $3.19 after posting a 30% rise in after-tax half-year profit on Tuesday.
Freightways was up 3c to $3.12 after announcing its first-half profit fell 14% as sales fell.
Retailer The Warehouse rose 1c to $3.79, while Hallenstein Glasson was unchanged at $3.55.
