The benchmark NZX 50 index was up 2 points to 3225 at the close of trading on Friday.
Fletcher Building rose 4 cents to $8.15, Telecom rose 1 cent to $2.23, and Contact Energy fell 5 cents to $6.08.
Sky City Entertainment Group fell 3 cents to $3.27, while Sky Network Television put on 3 cents to $5.08. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare fell 3 cents to $3.27.
The Warehouse closed down 36 cents to $3.86 after a flat underlying half year profit of $57 million.
Allied Farmers dropped by 0.2 cents to 7.1 cents.
The ASX 200 index was up 4 points to 4820.
In currency markets, the NZ dollar was at 70.03 US cents, 76.48 Australian, 46.46 British pence, 63.21 yen and 0.5107 euro. The TWI was at 64.51.
