Huljich Wealth Management has appointed David McEwen as an external consultant to its investment committee.

The company has been criticised for failing to disclose in its KiwiSaver fund financial reports, that its former managing director Peter Huljich personally topped up the fund to compensate for disappointing investment decisions.

The company's new managing director, Don Brash, says Mr McEwen is a qualified securities analyst and is the chief investment officer for Investment Research Group, which oversees research and commentary on 400 companies.
