Cinema chain Hoyts is increasing its presence in Auckland by buying the Berkeley Cinema group for an undisclosed sum.
Berkeley has 21 screens across four complexes in Auckland.
The acquisition will boost Hoyts' New Zealand portfolio to 11 multiplexes and 70 screens.
The sale is conditional on regulatory approvals, including from the Commerce Commission, and is expected to be completed by June.
