NZ market up - just

The benchmark NZX50 index closed up 4 points (0.1%) to 3232 at the close of trading in New Zealand on Wednesday.

Fletcher Building was down 2 cents to $8.30, Telecom down 1 cent at $2.13, and Contact Energy up 2 cents to $6.12.

Sky City Entertainment Group was down 2 cents to $3.29, and Sky Network Television up 2 cents at $5.18.

Air New Zealand fell 1 cent to $1.28, while Auckland International Airport was unchanged at $1.92.

The Warehouse was up 1 cent to $3.99, as was Kathmandu - up 1 cent to $2.41. Hallenstein Glassons was unchanged at $3.45.

Fisher & Paykel Appliances was unchanged at 60 cents, while Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was down 1 cent to $3.24.

Across the Tasman, the ASX 200 index was up 29 points (0.6%) to 4904.

In currency markets, the NZ dollar was trading at 70.42 US cents, 76.81 Australian, 46.99 pence, 63.74 yen and 0.52 35 euro. The TWI was at 65.30.
