NZ sharemarket rises slightly

The New Zealand sharemarket's benchmark NZX50 has risen 5 points, or 0.1%, to 32 38 on turnover of $48 million.

Fletcher Building rose 5 cents to $8.35, Telecom's up 1 cent to $2.14, and Contact Energy was unchanged at $6.12.

Sky City Entertainment Group was unchanged at $3.29, and Sky Network Television fell 1 cent at $5.17.

Fisher and Paykel Healthcare rose 3 cents to $3.27.

The Warehouse dropped 17 cents to $3.82, Hallenstein Glasson was down 5 cents to $3.40 after announcing its first half profit rose by more than half thanks to stronger sales.

Briscoe Group was down 5 cents to $1.29.

New Zealand Refinery went up 8 cents to $4.03.

Xero down 4 cents to $1.60.

Tenon up 5 cents to 95 cents.

Scott Technology up 4 cents to $1.30.

Allied Farmers down 0.1 cent to 6.3 cents

Across the Tasman, the ASX 200 index fell 10 points, or 0.2%, to 4881.

In currency markets, the NZ dollar is at 70.35 US cents, 77.18 Australian, 47.18 pence, 64.60 yen, 0.5274 euro, and the TWI at 65.67
