Second executive to quit XT network

Another executive involved with Telecom's troubled XT mobile phone network is leaving the company.

The director of mobile Paul Hamburger has chosen not to renew his contract which ends in July.

Mr Hamburger, who has been with Telecom for 18 months, is responsible for product management, plans and pricing, handsets and retail promotions and sales.

He has not been involved with the XT network's technical infrastructure or design.

Mr Hamburger's family is based in Florida and the company says the distance has been a challenge, and he is moving on after the launch and consolidation of XT.

The network has been plagued by a string of faults since its introduction last May.

Telecom's chief transformation officer Frank Mount resigned last month.
