NZ sharemarket closes up three points

The New Zealand sharemarket's benchmark NZX50 closed up three points to 3240 on Friday.

Fletcher Building was up 6 cents to $8.41, Telecom was down 2c to $2.12 and Contact Energy was up 11c to $6.23.

Sky City Entertainment Group was down 3c to $3.26 and Sky Network Television was up 8c to $5.26.

Air New Zealand was down 1c to $1.26, Auckland International Airport was down 1c to $1.91, The Warehouse was down 4c to $3.78 and Hallenstein Glasson was down 6c to $3.34.

Fisher & Paykel Appliances was unchanged at 60c and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was unchanged at $3.27.

The dollar was at 70.61 US cents, 77.62 Australian cents, 47.43 pence, 65.30 yen and 0.5295 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 65.99.

Across the Tasman, the ASX 200 index closed up 11.5 points, or 0.24%, to 4896, while the broader All Ordinaries index gained 8.9 points, or 0.18%, to 4905.
