The NZX 50 index closed 10 points (0.3%) higher to 3257 in trading on the New Zealand sharemarket on Monday.
Fletcher Building fell 3 cents to $8.38, Telecom rose 1 cent to $2.13 and Contact Energy rose 0.3 cents to $6.26.
Auckland International Airport was up 1 cent to $1.92, while Air New Zealand was unchanged at $1.26.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare lost 2 cent to $3.25, but Fisher & Paykel Appliances gained 1 cent to 61 cents.
Sky City Entertainment dropped 4 cents to $3.22 but Sky Television picked up 8 cents to $5.33.
Infratil was up 3 cents to $1.68 after announcing it is purchasing Shell's 229 petrol stations and stake in the New Zealand Refinery for $700 million.
In currency markets, the New Zealand dollar was buying 70.73 US, 77.90 Australian, 47.43 pence, 65.43 yen, and 0.5262 euro. The TWI was at 66.08.
