ARC company makes higher payment to council

Auckland Regional Holdings, the commercial arm of the Auckland Regional Council, has increased its payment to the council after returning to profitability in the second half of last year.

It has paid the council $74.3 million, up 16% from the same period a year earlier.

The company made an after tax profit of almost $32 million, well above its forecast of $13 million.
