Australia's largest health insurer and services group, Medibank, has bought the New Zealand-based McKesson Asia Pacific, which runs Healthline and other telephone health services.

Medibank has not disclosed how much the deal is worth, but says the acquisition will not affect any of the phone services currently on offer.

The deal is subject to regulatory control.
