NZ market ends trading week lower

The New Zealand sharemarket fell 10 points, or 0.3%, to close at 3311 on Friday on turnover of $54 million.

Fletcher Building was down 4 cents to $8.49 a share, Contact also fell 4c to $6.38, while Telecom was unchanged at $2.18 after it announced an earnings downgrade on Thursday.

Nuplex is down 9c to $3.26 after the Securities Commission took legal action against the company earlier this week for breaching continuous disclose rules.

Sky City Entertainment was down 1c to $3.25 and Sky Network Television fell 3c to $5.11.

Air New Zealand was 1c lower $1.41 and Auckland International Airport was unchanged at $2.01.

Fisher & Paykel Appliances was down 2c to 59c, while and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was unchanged at $3.44.

New Zealand Oil and Gas was down 5c to $1.56.

Skellerup was unchanged at 63c after long-serving managing director Donald Stewart announced his resignation on Friday.
