The New Zealand sharemarket was down 18 points, or 0.5%, at 3287 at the close of trade on Thursday. Turnover was $74.7 million.
Fletcher Building was down 9 cents to $8.43 per share, Telecom rose 3c cents to $2.18 and Contact Energy fell 6c to $6.18.
Air New Zealand was down 1c to $1.37. Nuplex gained 3c to $3.26.
New Zealand Oil and Gas was 4c lower at $1.52, while Pike River Coal was down 1c to $1.13 after announcing details of its $90 million capital raising to repay a lender and speed up production.
Sky City Entertainment Group was up 1c to $3.23.
Retailer Pumpkin Patch fell 9c to $2.20, Kathmandu was down 3c to $2.50 but The Warehouse was 1c higher at $3.82.
