The New Zealand sharemarket's benchmark NZX50 index edged up 8 points (0.25%) to 3175 during Wednesday morning trading, on turnover of $27 million.
At 12:16pm, Fletcher Building was had risen 4 cents to $7.95, Telecom was unchanged at $2.10 and Contact Energy was up 5 cents at $6.17.
Air New Zealand was unchanged at $1.24.
Auckland International Airport rose 1 cent to $1.96.
Sky Network Television was unchanged at $4.80, while Sky City Entertainment rose 3 cents to $3.03.
PGG Wrightson rose 1 cent to 56 cents after the recievers of Rural Portfolio Investments, the company founded by Craig Norgate and Baird McConnon, on Tuesday announced they'd sold $46 million shares in the company to repay creditors.
NZ Oil and Gas was up 3 cents to $1.53, Pike River Coal rose 1 cent to $1.05 and New Zealand Refinery was 3 cents to $3.57.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 2 cents at $3.42 and Fisher & Paykel Appliances fell 1 cent to 63 cents.
Pumpkin Patch was unchanged at $2.12, and The Warehouse rose 1 cents to $3.71.
On currency markets, the New Zealand dollar was trading at 71.81 US cents, 80.11 Australian, 48.06 pence, 66.75 yen and 0.5676 euro. The TWI stood at 68.37.
