5:20 am on 25 May 2010

The New Zealand Wine Company says forecast sales are likely to be down by as much as a 10th in the June financial year, depending on the exchange rate.

The company has already been hit by lower prices, as the industry cleared excess wine stocks.

Meanwhile, its harvest is down 10% to 2222 tonnes compared to the previous year.
