Barfoot & Thompson real estate says sales volumes and prices rose slightly in May.
The company sold 792 houses during May, up 18% on April, but down almost 3% on the same month last year.
Prices rose slightly from April to $542, 806 - up 1.7% on May last year.
Managing director Peter Thompson says the results reflect a stable and balanced market.
